In the frame of upcoming edition of DISCOP Johannesburg, Digital Lab Africa, the French Institute of South Africa and Wonda VR will organize the first South African VR Film Jam, which will be held in Johannesburg from 24 to 27 October 2017 at Tshimologong - Digital Innovation Precinct (Braamfontein).
Digital Lab Africa and its partners are inviting all creative professionals and students to apply and share their insights, concerns, needs, vision, through a 48h VR creativity session.
Curated by Wonda VR and Digital Lab Africa, the Jozi 48h VR FILM JAM will be a unique opportunity for 12 selected participants to learn how to write, shoot, edit, and distribute a Cinematic VR experience in less than 48 hours!
Using a proven methodology coupled with Wonda VR Studio authoring software and an award-winning team of mentors, this VR FILM JAM aims at empowering a diverse community of creatives to explore the future of cinema in VR.
The final projects will be showcased on October, 27th at DISCOP the world’s number one destination to acquire and co-produce content “Made in Africa” and sell international film, television and digital content.
