Finally, the long awaited Cape Town hair and Beauty Show went down in the beautiful morthercity.
Last weekend, all roads led to the Cape Town International Convention Centre where the Cape Town hair and Beauty Show was held for two days.
The event was the first of its kind in Cape Town, showcasing multicultural hair & beauty as well as local fashion. Capetonians flocked the event for designer shopping, catwalk shows, pop-up shops, hair & beauty educational panels from leading industry experts and fierce hair and makeup battles.
The experience exceeded my expectations. Everyone one was catered for be it natural hair, permed you name it.
My favourite part of the event was getting to discover new hair products. As a nappy head, I've always felt like we don't have a variety of products to choose from apart from the usual suspects like good old coconut oil. Attending the event gave me an idea on what's out there and getting a chance to speak to manufacturers and product experts.
Overall the event was a success with a very diverse crowd which made it more interesting and. I hope it turns int an annual gathering. Shout out to Maggie and Mandy for the invite. They pulled it off.
