On Saturday 26th July, my girls and I headed for the ever so awesome fashion event, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Cape Town. The first show was set for 16:30 so we made sure we were there before 4pm, in order to settle in, and of course capture red carpet moments. Initially, I told the girls that the show starts at 3pm. This was me trying to avoid 'African Time' because I'm not about that AT tendency.
Being July, winter is at its best in Cape Town and Saturday was beyond cold. The weather service had announced a cold front in the mothercity. It was freezing to the point that I wished, if I wasn't a liker of things, I would not have attended Fashion Week but a sistah had to do what a sistah had to do, for the love of fashion and creativity.
This year's theme was Creative Freedom which I found vague.
