In reshaping the way audiences are entertained, Cape Town World Music Festival, 18-19 July 2014, is ready to deliver a memorable and enjoyable experience for all attendees’. Take two days, three stages, over 20 genre crossing acts from across the globe, with music and light and you have yourself just that.
Shifting away from the traditional festival model, and off in the pursuit musical variety, the Cape Town World Music Festival will accommodate all types of music lovers; the serious, the curious and the fun loving, in this inner city, unique weekend.
With a lineup of local and International musicians representing a wide variety of World, Nu World, experimental, electronic and alternative music, Cape Town World Music Festival aims to facilitate an experience and a journey, where audience members leave inspired, connected and perhaps fans of something they have never heard before.
The Cape Town City Hall will light up with a Main, Seated and Electronic Stage - making the diverse offer of World music more accessible to the masses than ever before.

What to expect at the Cape Town World Music Festival:
Taking place at The Cape Town City Hall on Mandela Day Weekend, 18 – 19 July 2014, this inner-city festival will showcase the best in World Music in a format that is crafted to enlighten, entertain and engage.
Endorsed by the City of Cape Town and The World Design Capital, this year’s theme of Light and Design with illuminate a Nu World Festival!
In the build up to the main event, participating artists and industry innovators will be giving free talks and master classes in and around the festival.
