MTV Shuga is undeniably one of the most relevant entertaining television drama whose purpose is to educate and inform the youth about HIV/AIDS.
The show returned to our screens last year 1st December which also happens to be World AIDS Day, for its third season directed by Nigerian acclaimed novelist and playwright, Biyi Bandele and wrapped up earlier this year. It was shot in Nigeria with a predominantly Nigerian cast hence why it is dubbed, 'Shuga Naija'.
Their mission is to spread the word as much as possible. I love how they're trying to penetrate through all forms of media. Their latest medium is radio. The first episode of Shuga Radio Series aka Shuga Naija Radio premiered on Friday, 13th June on Unilag FM at 20:00 and City105.1 FM, Tuesday 17th June at 19:45.
If you're not in Nigeria, worry not, you can also listen via their website Shuga TV.
