Designers/Stockists Sought For Strut It Afrika Fashion Festival Set For 5th July - 2nd November 2014 In Kenya

Strut It Afrika is calling on African designers interested in taking part in this year's Strut It Afrika Fashion Festival which will be held in the East African city of Nairobi, Kenya (venue to be announced).
In its second year of running, the festival promises to be one of its kind as it is dubbed East Africa's premier fashion event ; Africa's first regional fashion festival.

The leading  East African agency is looking for designers/stockists who are: 

- Established or emerging. 

- Are in Kenya, Botswana or Eritrea.

About the festival

Previously known as Strut It Afrika Fashion Week, the show debuted in 2013 with a successful premier in East Africa. The second edition now named, Strut It Africa Fashion Festival will run for five months, from July 5th – 2nd November, 2014 featuring a line up of thirteen fashion shows and five countries.

According to Strut It Afrika, the following events will be part of the festival:

- The Launch of AFSHION; the much anticipated online shopping experience designed to support African Designers.

- The East African tour designed to source for the best designers around East Africa while casting for the most talented models each country has to offer. This year we will be targeting Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and Tanzania.

- The seductive Little Secret Lingerie Show.

- The launch of Store 66, not just fashion but a lifestyle.

- Another new addition to this year’s program is ALL ABOUT MEN, which will feature the hottest trends in menswear for the season. In addition to the parade, the hottest cars, motor bikes, watches and shoes in the market will be on display. After all, a man is not complete without his toys.

- The final lap to the finale will comprise of the two Preview Parties which will see East Africa’s fashion elite welcome the Festival at these exclusive invitation-only affairs, where champagne and canapés will be served on silver platters.

- The Art Exhibition organized in conjunction with the National Museum of Kenya.

- The East African Designers Showcase where guests will view the latest collections from East Africa’s best designers and witness the crowning of Kenya’s top Emerging Designer for 2014 during the Emerging Designer’s Showcase.
