It has been a while since we last featured our home girl Lupita Nyong'o and I must say, it felt a bit awkward seeing as we love her so much.
The Oscar winner has bagged herself a new deal as the new face of Lancôme cosmetics which makes her the first black ambassador for the French luxury brand.
This is the first major endorsement deal for the 12 Years A Slave actress. She joins other renowned Oscar-winning actresses such as Julia Roberts, Kate Winslet and Penelope Cruz as ambassadors for the brand.
In her statement, Lupita had this to say, “I am truly honored to join the Maison Lancôme, a brand with such a prestigious history that I have always loved. I am particularly proud to represent its unique vision for women and the idea that beauty should not be dictated, but should instead be an expression of a woman’s freedom to be herself,”
This is only the beginning. Her stay keeps shining; we are proud of you, African lady!
