February 16th marks National Teen Suicide Prevention Week in South Africa. The 7 day campaign aims at educating and informing the public about signs of depression which can lead to suicide .
This awareness is made possible under the leadership and guidance of The South African Depression And Anxiety Group (SADAG) through continued sharing of information and support to victims as well as possible victims.
According to research, 1 in 5 teens has considered suicide and almost 17% have formulated/contemplate a plan to take their lives. in addition to that, 9.5% of teen deaths are due to suicide in South Africa.
Through caring, showing love and sharing information on Teen Suicide, we can combat the problem and live in a better world for all.
