I have been following the show since its premier and I must say they're doing their level best to groom and polish the next top model on the continent. It hasn't been an easy ride for some of the contestants as the show is highly competitive.
This past Sunday the theme was Township Couture and I found it interesting and very difficult to execute since they had to shoot with a goat right before a crowd whilst selling the product at the same time. It was no child's play and I must say, models make it look easy but it isn't as easy as it looks! The previous episode just reminded me that models are tough cookies.
Angola, South Africa, Ghana, Nigeria and Uganda are the only countries left in the competition however, my favourite in this particular order are, Aamito (Uganda), Michaela (Angola) and Roselyn (Ghana).
My two cents: Once the announcement was made about Africa's edition of ANTM, all that came to mind was someone like Aamito. Her look is everything and she's the true and ideal definition of what ANTM should be.
Here are the models bringing Township Couture to life.
MICHAELA: Angola
ROSELYN: Ghana
She won this challenge |
CHEANDRE: South Africa
MICHELLE: South Africa
OPEYEMI: Nigeria
JOYCE: Nigeria
Unfortunately Joyce was the 6th contestant to leave the competition. A very determined model |
AAMITO: Uganda
She came 2nd in the challenge |
