A proudly African movie titled, ASAD has been nominated for an Oscar award. The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on Sunday 24th February 2013 at the Dolby theatre in Hollywood.
The film is about a Somali refugee boy struggling to survive in his war-torn homeland. It is directed and written by Bryan Buckley and produced by Mino Jarjoura.
