Yesterday was the first time I watched the latest series of Shuga (season 2). For those of of you who do not know what Shuga is, it is a drama series about love sex and money. It airs on MTV Base. The series is shot in Kenya, East Africa; focusing on lives of youth being young and having to live their lives given the circumstances surrounding their every day lives such as love sex and money. The latest series features a background track by Nigeria's Banky W and Wiz Kid as well as SA's L-Tido.
The series was commissioned by MTV Networks Africa in association with The MTV Staying Alive Foundation. It is educational, youth are still affected by these aspects. Big up MTV Base and the production crew.
