Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's Book Is No.1 On BBC's Top 10 Books of 2013



She's undoubtedly one of the best African authors. The prominent internationally acclaimed Nigerian literary feminist, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie stays slaying with her incredible way with words.
Her book titled 'Americanah' is number 1 on BBC Culture Top 10 books of 2013 beating best sellers such as The Good Nurse by Charles Graeber, Mary Coin by Marisa Silver and The Flamethrowers by Rachel Kushner.
The 36 year old is spearheading the new generation of African literature and readers.


The book review was done by Jane Ciabattari, a journalist and book critic who's also a former Vice President of the National Book Critics Circle. She also served as its President between 2008 -2011.

“Adichie is fearless when writing about love, hate and shades of blackness. She tempers her directness with wry humour as she holds up a mirror so we can see ourselves.”
